Sox head into Evil Empire... Yanks 2nd in wildcard

Well Yankee fans, doesn't second suck? After another series whoopin by the D-Rays (only win was a squeaker by the way) Yanks limp into second place in the wildcard. Not feeling that October vibe? Has the panic set it that you're playoff chances are slipping away? Hee hee...

Sox head into the Evil Empire this weekend. Yanks really need a sweep to make a dent in the standings. Two wins only get them back within 3 games. Not to mention they go to the Trop next and face the D-Rays again. Best part? No matter what, Sox leave the Bronx in first.


Can Small keep his streak going? He's probably the best pitcher on the staff. We think the Yanks can pull off 2 wins. Schilling still needs at least a couple more outings before he's legit. If he can hold them to 3 runs we'll be happy. Sox pitching has improved overall recently and the pen is finally well rested. If the Sox manage to take 2 of 3, pack your bags now baby. If all 3? Oh baby...
