Yankees Reach .500! The Yankees Reach .500!

Woo hoo!!! Clear the streets, and get ready for the parade! Ticker tape for everyone!

Congrats Yankee fans, your team has officially reached mediocrity - and it took 7 straight to get there. They finally beat a real team. Good for you. Looks like Abreu just found the HGH in Giambi's locker. Or is Posada finally sharing?

Now the pressure is on to stay above .500. Can they do it? You may have to wait until the Mets series is over. But with 10 games upcoming with Oak, Minn, and the Angels don't count on it.

Clemens get his first real test on Fri. We'll shut the site down for a week if he finishes 6 full innings.

I think you might need to shut it down period, my friend.

Of course, all Yankees players are on steroids, all Red Sox players are innocent angels who perform at their highest level due to nothing but hard work and baseball intelligence....

8:46pm - Brad Hawpe homers on a fly ball to right field: Colorado 6 - Red Sox 3. Colorado Rockies - not at all a mediocre team - in fact - it's one of the top teams in the entire MLB.... Schilling - 4 2/3 - 6 runs on 9 hits - 93 pitches. We are about to be 8.5 down and you've got to feel the heat no matter how blind you are.

Oh no, 8 1/2 game lead?

You're right, we're shutting it down.

With the best record in baseball, they're hanging up the cleats as we speak...

oh no, 13.5 game lead just a week ago, Yankees are done, everybody on steroids, A-Rod is a menace to the society, what is New York to do?

Let me understand this correctly - the best team in the league lost 12-2 and 7-1 (with your 2 best starters) to COLORADO ROCKIES?????????????????????

I know. Hard to believe isn't it?

But they're still the best team in the league, non?

I'm sure we couldn't go back and look at any Yankee performances worse than that thought, right?

And, of course, we can't find anything remotely embarassing in the Boston Red Sox history...

This is pretty funny. I was wondering what the magic number would be to make Yanks fans perk up again -- so 7 1/2 is what makes you see the light -- good to know. The board has been quiet as heck while you've been in the cellar! Nothing like jumping on the band waggon!
