Yanks drop 3 of 4 at home to Sox…

We know, we know. It doesn’t matter and the Sox aren’t going to the playoffs. But your playoff bound Yankees just dropped 3 of 4 to a pitching staff that consisted of:

Beckett: 2ER
Tavares: 4ER
Snyder: 2ER
Jarvis: 4ER

Who? Yikes. And your Bombers countered with Wang, Johnson, Wright, and Mussina (your playoff rotation). All this against a lineup without Manny. The game they did manage to win took a late inning rally. Well, they must be on cruise control. Yup, that’s what it is. They really weren’t trying to win. They didn't want to clinch against the Sox at home either. By the way, the Brooklyn Bridge is for sale...

Yes the Sox will be watching the playoffs, but witnessing another $200M go down in flames will be entertaining. Playoffs are about pitching. Wang, Mussina, and Johnson don’t match up against the A’s, Minn, or the struggling Tigers. So good luck with that.

That’s right folks. Another disappointing season without a ring. Keep counting your division titles. Maybe you’ll catch the Braves. Who cares about division titles? Teams that don't win championships. And how many rings do the Braves have again?

Enter this under the no one cares (or remembers) file...

What people do remember is when a team chokes in a historic fashion. Like Tin Cup's 12 on 18. Or like a blown 3-0 lead in the ALCS against your archrival...

Well fella..Why did you ask the question?...if ya didn't care.

how about that May 23rd post of yours? Oh,...guess you don't care.

They got one more than you guys!
Hurts,huh!

...and you didn't even know that.

haters will be haters.....

did you see the lineups yankees had in the dh's?

you only missed Manny, we missed half the lineup. You know why?

CAUSE YOU ARE STILL 9 1/2 OUT!!!!!!!

To all Yankees fans - how come we don't have the redsoxchoke.com site? Seems much more appropriate..

staff....these are desperate times.

Excuses, excuses. You're making excuses why the Yanks lost? Weak. We didn't have half our lineup, wah wah wah. You did see who the Sox starters were?

One of you is right, no one cares about the ALCS (thanks for making our point once again), except for the Biggest Choke in Sports History...

Desperate times? That was back on Aug 1st. Playoffs were conceded long ago. After 2004, its all gravy...

...that being said...the Yanks have been in gravy alot longer....

...Let's go Braves..winners of two World Series since 1918.

...is that right?

Yankee Gravy? Lots of lumps in that gravy, especially since 2000!

Actually it comes down to 19 games a year doesn't it? They're like mini events - even if they don't mean anything in the standings. Nothing like it at the ballpark...

nothing like the icebergs in redsox gravy over the years.

start talking lumps when the yanks start missing it in 15-20 year blocks. Even 86 year increments.

From an April 4th post.
"There's 161 games left. The biggest injury question is looking good, the other not. A healthy Schill & #3 starter Beckett both could easily win 20 games. The lineup has plenty of weapons. The pen is light years ahead of last year. You'll probably have a defense in the top 3 (can you remember the last time?). This could be better than the 2004 edition. Stay tuned & keep the faith baby!"

Don't forget to read the May 23rd post also.....

Right. And make sure you check out the front page of the NY Post from Oct 21st 2004...

Don't forget that when the Yanks clich they've only won a berth in the playoffs so....NO ranting like a high school boy about the useless division championship...

Staff said...

It's our site, and we can RANT if we want to, Rant if we want to...

Sing along...

And, thanks for using the phrase "useless division championship"...

But it's actually a "useless division title". They haven't won anything...
