Congrats Houston fans! It only took 44 years of your teams existance to get into the World Series! While many other teams have suffered a longer drought (including your opponent) it must be an indescribeable feeling to be where you're at. Especially after the Pujols game 5 blast with 2 outs in the 9th. We felt for you, but also shared in some of your joy with a convincing game 6 win. Brad Lidge can rest easy now & his psyche shouldn't hurt him. Oswalt was overpowering - what a clutch performance. This coming from a team that was well under .500 at the beginning of the season. Big congrats to Bagwell & Biggio who have been teammates for 15 years. It's a waste when players of their caliber never get to the big dance. Nice to see...
For those of you wondering, there are a few present day teams who have NEVER made it to the Series: Seattle, Colorado, & Tampa Bay. Ouch...
