Al Leiter, aka one-time wonder, lasted less than 3 innings and gave up 5 runs. We are sending a set of silverware to the Yankees front office because there are so many guys you can just stick a fork in at this point. Case in point, Yanks decline option on Bernie. Class guy, but has just lost it. Too many old men in that locker room.
Yanks now 3 1/2 back. Feeling like it's slipping away? Starting to seem like it. Better win tonight with Mussina, Chacon coming back to earth on Thur. It'll be 4 1/2 before you know it...
